Ryan is a Clinical Teaching Specialist at the University of Canberra and is a former teacher in NSW and the ACT. He has Masters degree in Educational Leadership with an interest in parent education and engaging boys in literacy. He is an executive committee member of the Australian Literacy Educator's Association (ALEA), a member of the International Reading Association and the Primary English Teacher's Association.
